Woodland Group acquires Courier Elite.

Woodland Logistics is pleased to announce the acquisition of transport operator Courier Elite, based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

“The addition of the Courier Elite business will strengthen our presence in in the Cambridgeshire, Northampton and Midlands and greatly assist in our growth plans for the region. The ambition is to double the size of our current national fleet of 155 vehicles within the next 3-5 years, with the Peterborough and Midlands region of specific focus”, said Sean Kirby, Woodland Logistics Managing Director.

Woodland Logistics specialises in the management of national transport operations for a number of large manufacturing businesses in the UK. Their embedded logistics teams within client production and distribution facilities, allows for fast, efficient, long-term solutions, that benefit the client from a service and overall profitability aspect.

The assets of the company include a diverse range of vehicles which is a mix of standard curtain sided vehicles ranging from 7.5 ton, 18 ton and 26 ton rigid’s, to a large fleet of 44 ton arctic trucks, including crane and fork lift mounted equipment.
