Gloucestershire-based waste and recycling company Valley Trading have signed up to r2c’s connected fleet and workshop management platform for improved vehicle compliance and maintenance levels.

Michael Kent, Transport Manager at Valley Trading, explained what drew them to r2c’s digital platform,

“We wanted to increase efficiency and compliance across our fleet and on-site workshop. We often misplaced paperwork or found it hard to read, which, in today’s world of ever-increasing compliance regulations, we knew just wasn’t good enough anymore.”

Another issue Valley Trading faced was the struggle of increased demand on their in-house workshop. Michael continued,

“We also faced low efficiency within our workshop in regards to defect rectification, which needed to improve to cater for our expanding fleet as the business continues to grow.”

Valley Trading chose r2c Online’s connected platform for centralised vehicle compliance and maintenance data, with real-time fleet and workshop collaboration for improved efficiency and compliance levels.

The software will be implemented across the business from daily driver checks to the transport office to technicians in the workshop for full digital management of their mixed fleet of specialist waste vehicles including grabbers, tippers and articulated vehicles.

“The biggest benefit for us will be the efficiencies r2c can offer the whole business,” Michael explained, “It will be invaluable for us as we continue to grow. The vehicle planner for repairs and inspections will be incredibly useful too. It takes the hard work out of maintenance scheduling, and the real-time dashboard gives us visibility across the entire fleet.

“Using r2c’s driver, core platform and workshop products, we can now track defects in real-time from cradle to grave, helping us remain confident in our vehicle safety and compliance.”

Michael concluded, “We’re delighted to be working with r2c Online. The service has been excellent and we’ve had a seamless experience so far. I would say to others in the industry that it’s well worth booking in for a demonstration of the platform, we found it very informative and it allows you to see r2c’s capabilities for your specific business requirements.”

Nick Walls, Managing Director at r2c Online, commented, “More and more waste management companies are realising the benefits of using r2c, as our centralised platform reduces risk and increases efficiency. We’re looking forward to having Valley Trading on board and continuing to help their business thrive.”
