Strong response from CeMAT visitors to Flexi range.

Narrow Aisle Ltd, manufacturer of the Flexi series of articulated forklift trucks, reports strong interest in its range of products and services from visitors to its stand at the recent CeMAT exhibition in Hannover, Germany.

“It was our best ever CeMAT,” says the company’s sales and marketing director, John Maguire.

He continues: “CeMAT has always been a successful show for us and this year was no different. We met some very senior people from diverse industries – many of whom were at the show to discuss their plans for the implementation of major handling systems.”

According to John Maguire visitors from the grocery sector were particularly keen to learn about Narrow Aisle’s new FlexiPiCK – an order picking system that allows over 1000 cases per hour to be picked by one operator.

The FlexiPiCK’s clever design enables users to take advantage of the increasingly popular layer quantity order picking technology pioneered in the USA without the need to invest in the kind of high fixed cost and automated handling technology that previous gantry robot layer picking systems have relied upon.

The Flexi StorMAX system, another recently-launched concept in space saving storage solutions from Narrow Aisle, also attracted plenty of attention from the German audience.

The StorMAX is a warehouse management system-based (WMS) storage solution that, in comparison with storage systems served by conventional reach trucks, allows an amazing 50 per cent more pallet locations to be achieved within the dimensions of a store.

John Maguire adds: “We have already arranged follow-up meetings with a number of organisations that we met at CeMAT 2016 to discuss how the FlexiPiCK  and StorMAX can be benefit their operation.”
