sennder hires Anja Maassen van den Brink as Chief People Officer to strengthen the team and culture for the company’s next phase of growth

sennder, Europe’s leading digital freight forwarder, announced the appointment of Anja Maassen van den Brink as the company’s new Chief People Officer. Anja Maassen van den Brink joins from electric air mobility company, Lilium, and brings strong people & culture leadership for sennder’s next stage of growth.

As Chief People Officer, Maassen van den Brink will be responsible for setting and overseeing sennder‘s people strategy, focused on developing its 1,000+ employees and further expanding its talent pool across all markets. sennder is continuously hiring, specifically for tech talent, to digitalize the logistics industry. Maassen van den Brink’s role encompasses talent attraction, learning and development, employee retention, diversity, equity and inclusion, total rewards and workplace experience across the organization’s 11 European offices. She joins sennder’s management team, adding more than 20 years of experience supporting organizational and people development in high growth and transformative businesses.

Maassen van den Brink has previously served as the first Chief People Officer of Lilium, an air mobility company developing all-electric jets. In her role, Maassen van den Brink was instrumental in scaling the organization by hiring a talented and entrepreneurial team and preparing the company, from a people perspective, for its listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NASDAQ). As an expert in change management, Maassen van den Brink worked on the post-merger integration of Vodafone and Ziggo in the Netherlands and has served as CPO for Maxeda DIY Retail and Vice President of HR at Sara Lee International, a global consumer goods company.
