Rhenus relies on digital communications with customers and sector representatives during this year’s “transport logistic” fair

Even if the ongoing pandemic makes it impossible to physically meet and network with people at the international “transport logistic” fair in Munich this year, the Rhenus Group is offering its customers and interested parties the opportunity to make use of virtual appointments with their personal contact partners. It is already possible to arrange them through an individual Rhenus fair website. The logistics specialist will also take part in six exciting panel discussion sessions during the fair’s conference programme.

The online alternative to physical meetings at the fair will be available during the complete week on 3 – 7 May. Appointments can be arranged with a wide variety of contact partners from the various business units and on specific themes at the https://www.rhenus.group/tl2021 website.

“It’s important for us to maintain close contact and exchange ideas with our customers, partners and interested parties, even during the pandemic. We’re confident that our discussion services will offer an alternative to networking at the trade fair stand and many interested parties will make use of this facility,” says Dr Stephan Peters, a Member of the Rhenus Group Management Board, explaining the reasons for this year’s dialogue format.

However, Rhenus is not only making its presence felt at the “transport logistic” fair by offering individual discussions, but is playing a particularly keen role in the conference programme this year too. Jan Harnisch, COO Global at Rhenus Air & Ocean, will be discussing developments in container shipping after Covid-19 from 1 p.m. onwards on 4 May, for example, while André Delarue, COO Airfreight Rhenus Asia Pacific, will be talking about capacity bottlenecks and increases in air freight prices at the same time.

The Group will also shed further light on the topic of sustainability. Sascha Hähnke, Managing Director of Rhenus Transport, will give a lecture on alternative drive systems in practice at 2:30 p.m. on 4 May and the Sustainability Officer, Isa Kohn, will provide information about CO2 savings in logistics at 10 a.m. on 5 May. Dr Stephan Peters will report on the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic and Rhenus SE & Co.
