Post-acquisition by Rhenus Logistics in September 2017, RCS Logistics have begun a phased introduction of the Rhenus corporate identity. As part of the existing fleet renewal policy, RCS have recently introduced 6 new Mercedes Sprinter vans all of which are now in operation bearing the Rhenus livery.

The Rhenus group is one of Europe’s leading logistics service companies with a turnover of 4,8 billion EUR. Rhenus has business locations at 580 sites and employs 28,000 people. The Rhenus brand dates back 105 years.

David Williams, Managing Director at Rhenus Logistics UK, welcomed the move, saying:

“RCS Logistics is an award-winning business with a great customer service ethos. It is an ideal complement to the Rhenus offer in the UK. We’re excited about the opportunity this provides for us to expand the services we provide for our customers and look forward to working together to deliver innovative solutions to the market.”

Taking this latest move in their stride, they are beginning the inevitable transformation into a member of the Rhenus Group family. Speaking about the company’s deal, Steve Gray, Commercial Director at RCS Logistics, commented:

“Joining the Rhenus family is part of a clear growth strategy for RCS Logistics which will open up service areas for the business and deliver a positive step forward. For customers and suppliers, it will be business as usual – but with the added benefit of a much larger network to call upon to deliver integrated solutions world-wide “.

As a subsidiary of Rhenus UK, RCS Logistics’ directors, Steve Gray and Richard Robinson, will remain as directors with all employees secured within the company. With security in place and changes starting to happen, what will be RCS’s next move as the integration takes form?
