Frauke Heistermann will be the new Chief Digitalization Officer (CDO) at Siemens Postal, Parcel & Airport Logistics GmbH (SPPAL). Digitalization will sustainably change the economy, and it is progressing faster than any other industrial revolution in the past. The creation of this new strategic position highlights the importance of digitalization for the future of SPPAL.

Important responsibilities of the CDO include defining the strategic digitalization markets of the future and developing solutions and services for these markets.

Frauke Heistermann, who holds a degree in business management with a focus on logistics, co-founded the former AXIT AG. In the meantime, the company has become a subsidiary of SPPAL and has been renamed AXIT GmbH. Frauke Heistermann is an honorary member of the managing board of the German Logistics Association (BVL) and has authored various publications. She brings with her more than 20 years of professional experience in logistics, supply chain management, IT and digitalization. Frauke Heistermann will continue as a member of the AXIT management board.
