Lens-Tech Co Ltd, a designer, manufacturer and supplier of Fresnel lenses, has been announced as a bronze partner to FTA’s Van Excellence scheme, an innovative initiative designed to recognise excellence within the vans sector and improve operational standards.
Lens-Tech’s product range helps truck, van and car drivers to clearly see vehicle blind spots, matching Van Excellence’s commitment to keeping commercial drivers and other road users safe.
Mike Eastwood, Business Development Manager at Lens-Tech Co Ltd, commented:
“From HGVs to vans, all vehicles have blind spots which can restrict a driver’s ability to see clearly. That’s why Lens-Tech Co Ltd design and build lenses to help drivers unlock a more complete picture of the road. With our unwavering commitment to making the UK’s roads safer, Lens-Tech Co Ltd is well placed to share its expertise with Van Excellence operators. An industry-led scheme to promote the safe operation of vans, we fully support the aims of Van Excellence and look forward to a fruitful partnership in the years ahead.”
“With its dedication to making the UK’s roads safer, Lens-Tech Co Ltd is perfectly positioned to become the latest partner to our Van Excellence scheme,” said Mark Cartwright, Head of Vans and Light Commercial Vehicles, FTA. “The scheme strives to improve standards and increase compliance within the vans sector, and we’re delighted the team at Lens-Tech Co Ltd recognised the invaluable service it provides and are so eager to offer their support.”
Administered by FTA, the leading organisation in UK logistics, Van Excellence was created in 2010 to promote the safe operation of vans, represent the interests of the sector, and celebrate operators demonstrating excellent standards. Central to the scheme is the Van Excellence Code, a set of minimum best practice standards all van operators should aspire to achieve, covering safety, efficiency and sustainability.
Lens-Tech is a leading manufacturer of Anti-Blind-spot, Truck & Van Fresnel safety lenses. A Vantage Point Fresnel van lens press-fitted to the passenger door window glass protects pedestrians, cyclists and other vulnerable road users hidden from sight behind the van’s side panels.
