Fuel additive supplier ElimiNOX Limited has been recognised with a prestigious industry innovation award for its pollution-reducing fuel conditioners.
The company was recognised by the UK and Ireland Fuel Distribution Association for successfully promoting “innovative fuel conditioners” ElimiNOX Eco™, developed by SulNOx Group Plc.
This unique product reduces CO2 and other greenhouse gases by improving fuel efficiency and is made from natural, biodegradable ingredients.
Recognising its decarbonising potential, UKIFDA said: “The results of the company’s innovative fuel conditioners, which reduces greenhouse gases from polluting vehicles, is what impressed judges – recent tests with HVO (hydrotreated vegetable oil) showing a further reduction of 22% of the particulate matter.”

Among the companies supplied by ElimiNOX is Shropshire-based Besblock, one of the leading names in the construction industry, who have benefitted from significant reduction in fuel consumption and maintenance costs across their fleet over 18 months.
Mervyn Smith, Transport Manager at Besblock, said: “We have seen significant improvements. Fuel consumption has improved by around 5% and in some cases by as much as 8%. With fuel prices constantly increasing and with the number of miles our trucks cover, this has had a tremendous impact on reducing our fuel costs, which is great for us, but it also means we use less fuel, which reduces our emissions considerably.
“Added to this, we are seeing a reduction in harmful emissions and particulate matter. This is a big step in helping us reach our target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 15% by 2025.”
