Van operators across South Wales and beyond can look forward to receiving the industry’s finest service after Mercedes-Benz Dealer Euro Commercials achieved a demanding standard of excellence.

The company’s accreditation as a Mercedes-Benz Van ProCenter follows the opening earlier this year of its stunning, £2-million retail van sales showroom in Cardiff. One of the largest facilities of its kind in the UK, the development on Ipswich Road provides a light and airy space in which to display up to 13 Mercedes-Benz Citan, Vito and Sprinter models, and also incorporates smart, comfortable office accommodation.

The next phase of the project is scheduled to begin next year. The Dealer will create a dedicated van workshop with up to seven ramps and an MoT bay, as well as a comprehensively stocked Parts department and a conference and training area for staff.

The Mercedes-Benz Van ProCenter programme is a Europe-wide initiative and Euro Commercials’ accreditation follows a comprehensive series of audits by the manufacturer.

The Dealer’s success reflects the quality of the people it employs and the procedures in operation at its Cardiff headquarters and branches in Newport and Swansea, as they relate to light commercial vehicles.

Van Sales Manager Paul Cox affirmed: “Van ProCenter accreditation assures customers of industry-leading levels of service, not only when ordering and taking delivery of their new vehicles, but also once they’re on the road.”

Van ProCenter Dealers keep extended opening hours and meet strict requirements on everything from sales staff numbers, their training and expertise in specific models and business sectors, to advice on bodybuilding options and the availability of demonstration vehicles for test drives at short notice.

They also demonstrate ‘best-in-class’ brand and product presentation and, in addition to new models, retail a broad range of top-quality used vans, providing fair and transparent trade-in deals.

On after sales, meanwhile, they employ specially trained service advisors and technicians, and ensure customer mobility by providing replacement vehicles and collection and delivery services.

Paul’s 12-strong sales team blends youth and experience, and includes fleet and finance specialists.  “The Mercedes-Benz Van ProCenter programme is all about processes and improving the customer journey,” he explained.

“The Sprinter, Vito and Citan are widely recognised as the finest light commercial vehicles on the market, while the major investments we’ve made in our facilities and in staff training mean we’re perfectly placed to deliver the class-leading service which Mercedes-Benz customers are entitled to expect.”
