Former TNT Manager, Andrew Lowery, joins Carousel this January

Appointment bolsters management team and supports ongoing growth plans.

Personalised logistics provider, Carousel, is delighted to announce the appointment of Andrew Lowery, as its new Head of National Operations.

Andrew joins the company from TNT Express Ltd. where he held the position of City Logistics and Public Affairs Manager. Here, he was responsible for TNT’s UK Urban strategy, EU & UK projects as well as internal and external stakeholder engagement. Andrew has also previously worked at Geodis, Target Express and City Link during a career that has spanned nearly four decades.

His new role at Carousel will be to oversee the service delivery for the company’s By:NOW and By:NIGHT services. Based at Carousel’s Birmingham hub, Andrew will be responsible for ensuring the company’s reputation for service excellence is upheld across its network and within the company’s newly launched air line-haul service.

Andrew’s appointment bolsters Carousel’s senior management team and supports the company in its ongoing development and growth strategy. He will be based at Carousel’s office in Solihull and report directly into Carousel’s board of directors.

Andrew Lowery, Head of National Operations at Carousel said: “When considering my next role I was looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking organisation and Carousel is certainly that. I’m excited to be part of their fast-paced growth strategy and can’t wait to support them in their ongoing development plans.”

In August last year, Carousel acquired Solihull based company AYS Logistics and announced the launch of its new air line-haul in September after it renewing its service contract with John Deere. Growing at pace, the company has seen more than a 50% increase in employees in the last 12 months.

Graham Martin, CEO at Carousel said: “We’re delighted Andrew has come on board. 2016 saw a number of exciting developments as part of our rigorous growth strategy, with the company making a number of strategic acquisitions to further improve our service offering.

“We’re always looking for ways to improve and innovate our clients’ solutions and Andrew’s appointment is a critical link in ensuring our reputation for excellence is maintained as we continue to grow. With a career spanning nearly 40 years, he’s perfect for the job.”
