Europe’s leading independent provider of customs clearance and trade solutions has expanded into Austria with the acquisition of a specialist customs broker and airfreight services firm.

Customs Support Group (CSG) has acquired Trovino GmbH, which is based at Vienna International Airport, as part of its ongoing expansion across Europe.

It is the latest addition to its footprint in the DACH region, one of Europe’s most important logistics corridors, alongside businesses in Germany and Switzerland.

CSG is now operational in 16 European markets, spanning both EU countries and key non-EU markets, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Norway.

Founded in 2011, Trovino has evolved from its origins serving Asian carriers in the region into a specialised provider of customs brokerage and airfreight services.

The business has built a strong reputation for handling complex customs cases, particularly time-sensitive shipments and B2B2C e-commerce flows, alongside demanding air freight and transit operations across Central and Eastern Europe.

The company also operates as an ENS/ICS2 air cargo filing agent at Vienna Airport, providing an additional important compliance capability.

By joining CSG, it will gain access to an established international network, advanced digital tools and an expanded customer base, enabling greater efficiency and further growth across its operations.

John Wegman, CEO of Customs Support Group, said: “This acquisition represents a key step in our European expansion strategy and establishes CSG’s presence in Austria, completing our footprint across the DACH region. It strengthens our ability to serve customers across complex airfreight and transit flows into Central and Eastern Europe.”

For customers and partners, the acquisition ensures continuity of service while providing access to CSG’s broader international network, enhanced capacity and a wider range of logistics and customs capabilities.
