Asendia UK, a leading global logistics provider delivering to over 200 countries, has launched the first phase of its Asendia Connect global customer portal for retailers.
The web-based Asendia Connect platform allows Asendia UK’s retail clients to monitor their e-commerce cross-border orders and parcel shipment data, with a centralised view of data, as opposed to receiving email alerts for potential delivery exceptions.
Asendia Connect also serves as a comprehensive admin portal, allowing retailers to print a shipping label from a library of carrier labels, create a return, and request customised performance data reports. Manifest information for customs clearance can also be managed via the one-stop-shop platform.
Utilising Anchanto’s carrier tracking software for the backend control tower, Asendia UK has developed the platform in-house and is currently in the process of onboarding its e-commerce retail clients. Further functionality will be added in phase two, which is expected to go live next year.
“This is a live logistics dashboard and admin portal, which allows retailers to ‘self-serve’ of where in the world their parcels are, and greatly reduce Wismo [where is my order] queries,” says Ed Turner, CIO at Asendia UK.
“Connect is configured to integrate with a host of online marketplaces such as Shopify, eBay, and Etsy, and can also integrate seamlessly with order management software such as Mintsoft and ESW.”
Asendia UK supports around 400 retailers, including Boohoo and Pretty Little Thing, fulfilling international parcel shipments to their shoppers.
Operating from specialist fulfilment centres in Bedford and Southampton, and an International Distribution Centre at Heathrow, Asendia UK is on a mission to drive positive change within the e-commerce logistics industry while delivering value to stakeholders and contributing to a more sustainable future.
In June 2024 Asendia UK was awarded the Silver EcoVadis Medal and was recognised as being within the top 15% of UK companies evaluated by EcoVadis
