Transporeon Announces Two New Platform Innovations to Address Supply Chain Challenges

Transporeon, a Trimble company, announces two new platform solutions, Yard Arrival Monitor and Freight Audit SelfService

Transporeon, a Trimble company, announces two new platform solutions, Yard Arrival Monitor and Freight Audit SelfService, that use the power of connected data to address significant challenges for shippers and carriers in yard management and freight invoicing.

“Improving efficiency and lowering manual workload and costs are paramount for the transportation logistics industry right now,” says Jonah McIntire, chief platform officer, Transporeon. “Our new platform solutions use the power of connected data to eliminate bottlenecks, increase visibility, optimise collaboration, reduce administrative overhead and provide actionable insights with real-time data. In short, each solution offers significant, tangible business benefits.

Bringing Trucks and Yards in Sync

The lack of real-time information on truck arrivals, delays and statuses creates bottlenecks that disrupt the supply chain. Yard Arrival Monitor, part of Transporeon’s Real-Time Yard Management suite, leverages actual ETAs and connected data to seamlessly coordinate the arrival and departure of traffic at yards. Dynamic re-planning uses the power of real-time data with intelligent automation to adapt time slots for the drivers to effectively manage resources, delays and bottlenecks. This brings significant operational, economic and ecological benefits to yard and warehouse management. The solution seamlessly integrates with Transporeon’s time slot management solution at industrial and retail sites.

Freight Invoice Management Made Easy

It’s still common in the logistics industry to use a patchwork of spreadsheets and emails to process and verify invoices. Freight Audit SelfService is a new, easy-to-use freight cost settlement and billing solution. Its unified interface enables process standardisation, eliminates overpayments, and offers real-time insights into accruals, billing performance and more while reducing manual workload.

For carriers, it makes it easier to follow shipper-mandated processes while keeping control of the invoicing process. The invoice amount is agreed upon before being created and the carrier decides when to invoice for transports — all while following shippers’ requirements. It also provides all stakeholders with instant updates, giving carriers peace of mind.

These two new platform innovations and more of the latest product updates are being unveiled at NEXT, Transporeon’s innovation event at its summit in Vienna on 18/19 September 2024.
