Europa Road has boosted its continental credentials by becoming part of the leading network European System Alliance, offering customers a seamless and extended service.

Europa Road is the European road freight division of pioneering independent operator Europa Worldwide Group.

System Alliance Europe eG (SAE) is a network of leading European freight forwarders with 153 operations in 29 European countries and is Europe’s biggest freight network. Established in 2005, it specialises in groupage transport and collectively, System Alliance Europe’s network handles over three million consignments per year.

Europa becomes SAE’s 53rd member, joining a network across Europe that ensures each partner conforms to the same quality standards offering uniform systems, a high-quality service in terms of shipment handling and comprehensive track and trace.

With standardised processes, centralised quality and security management, scalable logistics services and extensive business intelligence, System Alliance Europe manages the customer journey across the entire supply chain. At the centre is SAE’s own Log-IT platform, which enables cross-company, end-to-end digitalised collaboration between partners and their customers based on real-time data. The core philosophy is flexibility, agility and scalability to meet the complex logistical challenges of customers operating in Europe.

By becoming part of the SAE association, Europa is able to work closely with other members, all of whom offer equally high standards and it increases the company’s ability to compete with larger operators. Membership means Europa Road can work more closely with top European partners who all meet the same exacting standards and quality levels of customer service.

“I already have experience with SAE from a previous company I worked for,” says Operations Director Dan Cook. “So, I’m convinced that the members represent a very credible pool of really good European forwarders to swim in.” The commitment to high quality and IT standards from all SAE partners is what makes the network strong.

“We are also looking forward to participating in the various committees in order to not only support the direction of the SAE network, but also to drive it forward,” emphasises Cook. The owner-managed company already has a well-developed network with excellent partners, some of whom are members of the general cargo co-operation. “By joining, however, we see the opportunity to initially become stronger in Germany as well.”

Europa Road has a network of sales branches across the UK and Ireland to manage the shipments of goods into Dartford from domestic depots, from where freight connects with daily, direct services to a partner network of 42 continental hubs. Its depots handle around 456,000 consignments annually, including an average of 10,000 duty paid (DDP) consignments per day in European traffic.

Tassilo Schneider, CEO of System Alliance Europe comments “Europa is a perfect match for SAE, being both independent and owner-managed. We are very much looking forward to working with our new member, which perfectly complements our logistics network.”

This latest development comes after Europa Road announced its successfully return to offering guaranteed pre-Brexit delivery times across Europe. Europa is the only operator offering UK and Irish exporters a ‘no quibble’ Money Back Guarantee, a delivery time guarantee available on all its UK and Ireland exports to Europe
