The IVECO Daily range continues its winning streak at the Fleetworld Great British Fleet Awards, winning ‘Light Truck of the year’ for an unprecedented fourth year in a row. The impressive skillset of the all-electric eDaily was also recognised as highly commended for the ‘Innovation in EV Technology’ category.

Run by Fleet World magazine, award winners were recognised for being at the cutting-edge of new developments, technology, sustainability, and thinking within the fleet industry. Its expert panel of judges commended the Daily for its broad range of abilities and continuous improvement during each new model year, practically highlighting the introduction of the all-electric eDaily.

Among the most commended features is its innovative modular battery technology – ranging from one, up to four battery packs on 72C 7.2 tonne GVW 5100mm chassis cab models – which can be added or removed throughout the life of the vehicle and allowing optimisation of payload or range as needed; and the option to choose among three drive modes and three regenerative braking modes, with the same body configurations that are available with diesel models.

The Daily range is also available as a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) version that can reduce emissions by up to 95% when run on biomethane.

The tough truck-based chassis of the IVECO Daily enables a class-leading payload of up to 4.9-tonnes and an impressive up to 3.5-tonne towing capacity. The 7-tonne model has become popular amongst fleets looking to retain the mission-critical assets of a larger truck, while benefiting from downsizing to a smaller vehicle. With the IVECO Daily, operators can take advantage of a lower total cost of ownership and increased manoeuvrability versus traditionally larger vehicles.

IVECO UK Light Business-line Director, Mike Cutts said: “We are delighted the IVECO Daily has again been recognised for its mission-focus and tough DNA that is helping boost operator capabilities while also reducing critical TCO for fleets.”

The eDaily also received recognition at the Great British Fleet Awards, accepting highly commended in the ‘Innovation in EV Technology’ category. The eDaily’s 15kW ePTO onboard power was already class-leading, but this game-changing capability has now been boosted to 50kW in the new Model Year ‘24 edition. Utilising the innovative modular battery set up, eDaily 50kW ePTO can provide enough power to run the most demanding of mission-critical equipment, all with zero-emissions.

Mike Cutts continued: “It’s fantastic that the powerful ePTO of the eDaily has been recognised at the Great British Fleet awards. Having the option of 50kW onboard power gives operators on even the most demanding missions the opportunity to make the switch to a zero-emissions vehicle without compromise.”

Both the IVECO Daily and eDaily feature class-leading comfort with Hi-Comfort memory foam seats. Reducing pressure peaks by up to 30%, these seats protect against fatigue and back pain, improving comfort and driver well-being. There’s also impressive technology found in the cab with a new digital driver’s display, a responsive touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as the pioneering digital driver assistant Driver Pal powered by Amazon Alexa.
