Ogilvie Fleet, the UK’s leading independent leasing company is celebrating a year of record growth and eclipsing the 20,000 vehicle milestone for the first time.

Ogilvie Fleet, the UK’s leading independent leasing company is celebrating a year of record growth and eclipsing the 20,000 vehicle milestone for the first time. With growth of 9%, the fleet size has reached over 22,000 on-risk vehicles, a figure that rises to 25,000 with the inclusion of fleet managed vehicles.

Driven by this customer growth, Ogilvie has expanded its own head count accordingly, with its Salary Sacrifice team having doubled in size and its daily rental team growing by 40% to keep up with demand. A new Driver Liaison Team has been created to ease the pressure on busy fleet managers, allowing drivers to liaise directly with the team to aid their switch to a new vehicle – often to electric for the first time.

Impressively, Ogilvie’s growth has been entirely organic, and largely fed by referrals from its existing customer base. Taking a flexible and transparent approach to building customer relationships, while maintaining its exceptional customer retention rate of 98%, Ogilvie Fleet now manages the fleets of 700 SME’s.

Gordon Stephen, Managing Director of Ogilvie Fleet commented: “The ongoing investment in our people, to maintain our customer-centric approach has been a long term commitment for Ogilvie Fleet. To see it result in another year of successive growth and to surpass the milestone of a risk fleet of 22,000 vehicles is a source of huge pride to the whole team.”

He added: “One of the biggest drivers of this growth was the creation of our brand new Driver Liaison Team which has directly helped over 300 drivers order their new vehicles, whilst taking some of the most time consuming aspects of fleet management off the desks of our customers.”

Alongside the investment in people, Ogilvie Fleet has continued to expand its range of tech-driven applications and software systems that it provides to both customers and the open market. From the award winning Happy Drivers mobile app, to the MiNextEV electric vehicle database and the time-saving lead time generator tool, Ogilvie’s investment in technology has continued to support its customers and drivers.

“Primarily, we ensure our customers have easy access to both our experienced staff and our suite of time-saving of tools to make their lives as fleet managers and company drivers as easy as possible. Providing excellent customer service is the number one business objective of Ogilvie Fleet. It’s an approach that has got us to this incredible point, and one which will see us continue towards meeting our ambitious growth targets in the years to come,” He concluded.

Ogilvie’s impressive growth has seen them nominated for Leasing Company of Year at the upcoming Fleet News Awards – for the first time ever in the over 20,000 vehicles category.
