The Traffic Commissioners will once again be headlining Logistics UK’s Transport Manager 2022 autumn conference series, updating delegates on their latest guidance and priorities for the coming year. Transport managers are legally required to keep their professional knowledge up to date and ensure their operations remain compliant. A Traffic Commissioner will be present at each of the event locations, with the exception of Belfast, where there will be a presentation by David Mullan, Head of the Transport Regulation Unit.
Senior Traffic Commissioner, Richard Turfitt, commented: “In times of rapid change, the role of transport manager is ever more important. The Traffic Commissioners for Great Britain welcome the opportunity to engage with those CPC holders at Logistics UK’s Transport Manager conferences who are striving to exercise effective and continuous management and meet the current and future challenges in the industry.”
Transport Manager 2022, which is sponsored by Brigade Electronics, will be touring 10 venues around the UK from September to December 2022 and will also include a virtual event. As well as the presentation by the Traffic Commissioner, the wide-ranging conference sessions will include the Transport Manager calendar, the Logistics UK compliance update, and sessions on vehicle in-service standards, managing safety technology and preparing your fleet for electrification. The programme for the Belfast event will differ slightly.
The price to attend for Logistics UK members is £295 plus VAT for the first delegate and £275 plus VAT for subsequent delegates; for non-Logistics UK members the cost is £395 plus VAT for the first delegate and £375 plus VAT for subsequent delegates. This price includes access to all the exclusive conference sessions, a full package of refreshments throughout the day and a take-home bag packed with useful information.
