Following a three-year relationship with MV Commercial, Harrowden Turf was quick to return when they needed four new tractors and curtainsided trailers for operation throughout the southern half of the UK.
Sporting a distinctive livery, the DAF XF Superspace tractors are being used in conjunction with specially adapted rear steer trailers, which include 11 FIX-Bungee roller carriage units for securing the loads.
Commenting on the contract, Richard Boyson, Group Transport Manager at the company said: “The units are operating five days a week on a multi drop basis averaging approximately 100,000 miles per annum. It is vitally important that with the type of loads being carried a strong and versatile restraint system is in place - hence the sophisticated net system installed.
“The relationship established with MV goes beyond merely selling a vehicle as they truly understand all our operating requirements and stay close at all times.”
