The logistics world will meet again for the eighth time at the “transport logistic China” on 16 – 18 May 2018 in order to make, maintain or develop contacts with the Chinese market; the event is being held at an area measuring more than 40,000 square metres at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
More international exhibitors have already registered for the event at this stage than two years ago. The level of demand clearly illustrates that the leading Asian trade fair for logistics, mobility, IT and supply chain management is becoming more and more important for international exhibitors.
China is pressing ahead with innovations at top speed. The country just recently increased its financial subsidies for projects that accelerate the process of digitization within its “Made in China 2025” strategy.
China now particularly plays a leading role in the development of artificial intelligence. Alongside this, the China trading strategy known as “One Belt – One Road” involves massive investments in infrastructure. Visitors to the “transport logistic China” will also have an opportunity to obtain information and exchange ideas about these current developments and trends related to the topics of digitization and the New Silk Road during the conference programme.

The major focus on the second day is therefore the forum on the Chinese “One Belt – One Road” trading strategy. The participants here will discuss the challenges, problems and solutions for the New Silk Road between China and Europe. Those attending will include speakers from the United Transport and Logistics Company (Russia), Raillink International Intermodal Logistics (China) and Rail Link Cargo AG (Austria).
The maritime sector, too, faces new challenges, particularly with a view to digitization. The IoT (Internet of Things), for example, can significantly increase the efficiency of shipping. Representatives from the Hamburg Liaison Office Shanghai, T-Systems, Saudi Arabian ports as well as representatives from Spanish ports will also discuss their experiences in this field during the “Smarter Talks on Smarter Ports” forum on the second day.
There will once again be four shows in one at the “transport logistic China” in 2018: the main event will also feature the “air cargo China”, the “perilog China” and the “truck & trailer China” exhibitions. The trade fair opens its doors at 9 a.m. on each day.
