Whistl, the second largest postal operator in the UK, has continued to invest in the business to increase efficiency by replacing its current fleet of vans with104 Mercedes Sprinter and Vitos vans in a £3 million deal with Zenith that will reduce fleet costs by around 25%.

The new vans have been fitted with the Isotrak, tracking system that is currently used in Whistl’s HGV fleet.  The company has found that investment in the tracking system has improved the MPG of its fleet as well as improving the quality of service to customers through better visibility of collection and deliveries.  It is also used by its Operations team to track arrivals of vehicles into depots which helps with the processing of mail.

The roll out of the new fleet across the Whistl network has begun and should be complete by September.

Nick Wells, CEO Whistl, said:

“We are committed to investing in our business to improve efficiency and the quality of service we provide to customers.  I look forward to seeing the new fleet on the roads in the coming weeks.”
